i just dont understand.
Teheran-"more than 400 people" of mostly women volunteered to be suicide bombers against americans in Iraq and Israelis. the ceremony organised by the Headquarters for Commemorating Martyrs of the Global Islamic Movement. they wear red headbands with the words 'there is no God like Allah' in arabic. the three main targets of their organisation are against israelis, US troop in iraq or assasinate brit author Salman Rushdie. (facts taken from the straits times, 22 april 2005).
the picture is disturbing; young kids wearing the same headbands just waiting in line. it's really scary, all this killing happening. of course, i cant imagine the conditions in which they live in. such stark differences to our lives. just what do you think they're thinking, i cant seem to even fathom it. shouldnt we live peacefully with our neighbours no matter how much they hate/hurt/harm us and vice versa? this is just so sad.
